GOLDEN AGE EC COMIC BOOK
By way of variety from the main Marvel & DC titles this item is from what will be an ongoing run of less familiar titles including some non-super-hero fare. As well as wonderful, unusual Bronze Age titles such as the Human Fly & the Man from Atlantis look out for humour titles like Crazy & Howard the Duck, a run of Marvel's Classic Comics, other TV tie-ins like the A-Team, adventure titles like Doc Savage etc.
Following on from the earlier batch of early Atlas/Marvel issues this item is from another varied selection with several 1950s pre-Code horror issues from EC - including a very rare issue the Haunt of Fear # 15 - .and other publisher's titles such as Chamber of Chills, the Beyond and Mister Mystery. There'll also be some Atlas war titles and other hard-to-find issues such as Doll Man.
Notes to follow.
A few general points about this run;
- all books have been photographed out of their bags to give the fairest view possible of the front cover
- in almost all cases these issues will be US 'cents' not UK 'pence' versions but, in those rare cases where I am listing a UK-variant, I will quantify this
- if you want to wait to bid on future listings after the end of an auction to combine shipping that's perfectly acceptable
- all auctions will be on a NO reserve basis
As with all these books whilst with me they have been well-cared for; storage has been in the cool attic of a smoke & pet-free house. All comics have been housed vertically in comic boxes having first been bagged and boarded.
Please do remember that postage & packing charges can easily be re-calculated for savings on multiple wins.
International bidders are welcome but I'll need to advise postage & packing costs dependent upon location. Delivery will be made using international courier or International Signed For Delivery from Royal Mail. Payment by any non-UK auction winner must be via PayPal.
All comics will be sent well packaged with protective materials - I know how rough the post can sometimes be. For the UK Recorded Delivery will be advisable and this can, of course, be upgraded to Special Delivery if the extra peace-of-mind that service provides is desirable. This would be particularly important in the case of the high-value books that will be listed.
Please e-mail any queries over. I will do anything I can to help with assessing this comic book's condition (I know it's hard not being able to peruse it in detail) and can provide additional photographs or look at any individual pages/panels etc. Just ask.

Adding a few notes about these vintage EC issues.
A highlight from this batch of issues. The Haunt of Fear # 15 is rare even by the standards of EC issues - this is actually the first of the title's series - and this is a copy that retains much appeal & charm.
Its cover and all interior
pages are attached through to the book's centre by both staples. There is some discolouration to its staples (more so to its top one).
And it looks to be free from unwanted annotations so no arrival date stamps, price
stickers, store stamps, filled-in coupons, distribution stamps etc.
Reading/handling/storage
wear includes spine wear - with a few mm split at both ends,
some spine roll, a couple of small/horizontal tears through its spine, other spine/staple stress - small tears around the staples, corner
wear/blunting, light corner folds - chiefly top RHS, other creases, nicks/small tears at to its
edges - there's a 1cm tear to its RHS cover edge, a few marks etc.
The interior is neat, complete with fresh-smelling pages & all the stories still read through fine.
A great opportunity to acquire a vintage 1950 EC original.
