Here is another nice Timely, a VG+ copy of Marvel Mystery Comics 38 from December 1942 featuring a terrific WWII cover. Book is unrestored, and is complete with cover and centerfold attached at the single staple. Cover has a moderate pull but is holding fine, while the centerfold is well secured. Front cover has very nice color and gloss. A moderate amount of spine stress and a slight spine roll. Right side of cover slightly bends upward probably from newsstand stacking. Top corner of spine has a moderate bump with a tiny tear and small chip, but other perimeter wear is very minor, with just one 1/4" tear at middle of free edge. Body of front cover has a moderate amount of dimples and small creases but very little breaks any color. There is some light pencil marks written in the yellow strip below the date and issue number in title. Overall book retains a high amount of eye appeal.

The back cover is light tan or dark creme with some overall dusting and areas of very light foxing. The perimeter has several small tears of less than 1/4". One long crease at bottom left corner that breaks color, with other creasing and dimples that do not break color or just break color lightly. The inside covers are light to medium tan. The inside pages are very nice, supple, light tan around edges and creme to off-white elsewhere with excellent art color!
